I earned my massage therapy certification from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL in 2009.  I am nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork (NCBTMB).  I am licensed through the State of Illinois (license no. 227.012437).  I am a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), whereby I am insured.  I became a certified Usui Reiki Practitioner and Master Teacher in October 2011. 

I believe in the healing properties that massage and Reiki provide.  My goal is to provide pain relief, stress reduction and a sense of wellness to each client within the comfort of their home.**  My technique can be customized to each area of complaint with little or no discomfort by warming the muscle group first and then adjusting the pressure and stroke used throughout the massage.  My goal is to provide an effective therapeutic massage that leaves the client feeling refreshed, restored and energized. 

 A first-time client can expect to complete a medical history form.  I will go through this form with you prior to the massage.  Certain conditions may require a doctors approval (pregnancy, kidney issues, cancer treatment, etc).  Massage is contraindicated for some medical conditions such as renal failure, etc.  In this instance, Reiki may be substituted.  Please mention if you have any allergies to nuts or soy products, which can be common ingredients in massage cream and oils.  I will discuss what your expectations are for the massage and/or Reiki session so that I may provide the best service possible.
